When we delve deeper into Ashtanga, it's essential to understand the eight pillars that define and constitute this classic style of yoga. The first references appear in the Bhagavad Gita, in which the method of the eight steps (Ashta-eight, Anga-steps or pillars) is transmitted to Arjuna by Krishna in their dialogue on the battlefield of Kuruksetra. The story told in the Bhagavad Gita is part of the Maabarata, the Indian epic text (somewhat similar to our Lusíadas in terms of mixing myth and fact, but written approximately 3,000 years ago), and basically teaches how we can free ourselves from the wheel of Karma and find or live closer to our Dharma, our purpose as individuals and the way we relate to others and in society.

 

This yoga school has different types of yoga classes: Hastanga, Vivysa and we also organize retreats in different locations.

 

We offer different packages: monthly, daily, private or group classes
